The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling is a beloved collection of stories set in the jungles of India, blending adventure, fantasy, and vivid observations of the natural world. The best-known stories follow Mowgli, a human child raised by wolves and taught the laws of the jungle by animals such as Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther. His encounters with the tiger Shere Khan and other creatures lead him through danger, friendship, and important lessons about belonging and survival. The collection also includes stories about other animals and their struggles in the wild. Combining imaginative storytelling with memorable characters and moral themes, The Jungle Book remains a classic of children’s literature and one of Kipling’s most enduring works.
