The Art of War by Sun Tzu is an ancient Chinese treatise on military strategy, leadership, and the art of achieving victory. Written around the fifth century BCE, the work emphasizes careful planning, intelligence, adaptability, and understanding both the enemy and oneself. Sun Tzu argues that the best victories are achieved with minimal conflict and that effective strategy depends on recognizing circumstances and exploiting opportunities. Although written for warfare, its principles have been widely applied to leadership, politics, business, and decision-making. Concise and practical, The Art of War remains one of the most influential works on strategy in world literature.
